otmamto asked: Greetings, I have been using Coda. When I login to my otmamto domain, Coda lists all my files in a column on the left, and I can select any folder/file to edit. I do believe (I haven't downloaded Flux3 yet) that Flux3 can read ordinary files (unlike some programes that have their own type of file like Sandvox:) Can Flux3 be used to edit my existing web sites? Can I replace Coda? When I log in...

Stuf 2 out now!
It’s been a long time coming, but Stuf 2 is out now for download. It’s a total re-write, it’s faster, sleeker, and more Lion friendly. The Bonjour networking has been replaced with a simple folder sharing system, so if you use DropBox, you clippings can be shared everywhere your DropBox is! Not just the local network anymore! You can even share your clippings with a Windows...

Macbook Pro for sale!
I’m selling my personal Macbook Pro… It was responsible for most of Flux (V2), so it’s quite a legend within The Escapers, but it has to go to make way for an iPad… http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230648478505#ht_500wt_1156

PPC releases of Flux
A quick informal survey… Does anyone out there still require PPC compatibility in Flux? I only know of 2 users who still use a PPC Mac, but surely there must be more? Note : We are currently evaluating the need for PPC support for future releases of Flux, being able to drop PPC support would make development and testing quicker and simpler. For those who are interested, it’s...

Flux on Lion
We’ve had a few mails on this subject, so I though I’d clear it up now. Flux works perfectly on Lion, a few releases ago there were a few cosmetic issues, but these have since been fixed. When you upgrade to Lion, make sure you have the latest release of Flux, and it’ll all be OK!

pghbuyer asked: Hmmm ... can't accommodate upgrades if customers purchased through Apple Store? Makes no sense ... you provide serial # for authentification, it's hard to understand why you cannot charge a reduced price for loyal customers who have purchased previous versions simply by requiring a valid serial # to make the upgrade purchase (directly from your firm). Must be missing something?

pghbuyer asked: Greetings! I'm in 10th day of Flux 3 demo and cannot get "Publish" feature to work. Every time I try, the Flux app crashes. My web domain is set up properly in OS X as FTP (I can see/navigate successfully in Finder).

Is Publish simply disabled in demo mode? If not, I'm not sure this app is going to work properly for me so I'm anxious about buying it! Cheers...

Amongst the bug fixes, there are a couple of tweaks…. When you set the class of an element from the contextual menu, you can now hold down Option to add a class, rather than the default behaviour of setting it. Those of you who like external stylesheets (that should be everyone BTW), will like the improved behaviour of the ‘Do not use inline styles’ preference. If Flux cannot...

Bugs are a big deal here at The Escapers, ‘crashers’ or ‘data loss’ bugs are an even bigger deal. They suck for you and they suck for us, so we are asking for your help… If you get a bug and report it, please include as much replication information as you can, without it, the chances of a stack trace giving us enough info is minimal. Flux in the App Store
We’ve had a few queries to ask if the version of Flux in the App Store is the same as the one you get from our website… Yes, it is, it’s not a ‘lite’ version, it doesn’t have any features removed (apart from the auto update which is done via the App Store mechanisms of course). We worked very hard for the two to be the same product, we really didn’t want...
